I kept that belief even when shit got tough … and I was getting bullied for being the only Asian girl in grade school. Even when all my hair fell out from stress in college. Even when I decided to pursue a career in the arts instead of science. Even when I moved to Denver to go full time with documenting people in love with zero business experience.

Every time I get the opportunity to be a part of a couple’s wedding day. Every time I find myself crying like a baby during the ceremony vows. Every time I feel like I’m leaving my best friend's party during the reception. Every time I get to support my relatives with my success.

Getting out of Indiana was one of the best decisions of my life. Denver opened my eyes to a world of different people, mindsets, and career paths. Through all my growth as a person, there are some things that are ingrained in my midwest heart.
